DRY SEASON ITINERARY | JUNE TO DECEMBER | 3 DAYS | $AUD505

Jumping Croc CruiseDay 1

6:00am pick up from your Darwin accommodation.

First stop, Adelaide River for a Crocodile Cruise where you will see huge saltwater crocodiles up close in the wild.Back on the road again, we will stop to get up close to a bizarre North Australian phenomenon, The Cathedral termite mound. These unusual structures that often get to over 5 metres in height dot the Top End and as the name suggests are the creation of the humble termite. We visit White Lily Billabong, home to a huge variety of birdlife. Maguk (Barramundi Gorge) – hiking & swimming We take in a magnificent sunset over Yellow Waters before heading to our overnight camp at Garnamarr Camp Ground or Jim Jim Billabong campground.

Enjoy REAL camp fire cooking! Sit around the fire after dinner for some Didgeridoo lessons.

Twin FallsDay 2

We wake up with the Kookaburra call (early).

Then it’s off for a spot of real 4 Wheel Driving to explore Jim Jim  and Twin Falls. We hike to the top of Twin Falls. Take in the spectacular views and enjoy a swim to cool off. Back down to the bottom, then walking through monsoon rain forest to Jim Jim plunge pool and relax on the sandy beach after this big day. We head off back to camp for another spectacular dinner.

Off to camp for Kakadu’s best camp oven roast dinner over the coals, followed by more Didgeridoo lessons around the fire.

Day 3

Up early, we don’t want to miss out. Today we visit the ancient Aboriginal Rock Art site of Nourlangie.

Your guide is on hand to explain the many symbols and the painting methods used to create these amazing works of art. We visit Mamukala Wetlands for another stunning display of birdlife. Mamukala is beautiful all year but it’s most dramatic in the late dry season (Sept-Oct) when thousands of magpie geese congregate to feed. On the return journey we will visit Berry Springs Nature Reserve if time permits.

We return you to your Darwin accommodation between 6 and 7pm.

Exclusive Jumping Crocodile CruiseDay 1

6:00am pick up from your Darwin accommodation.

First stop, Adelaide River for a Crocodile Cruise. We feed huge crocodiles. Then it’s off on foot for the 6km walk in Gubara Pools – a spectacular walk and great swimming.

We head off to our awesome Safari Camp for a big feast followed by didgeridoo lessons.

Day 2

Up early today, we visit Gunlom Falls (when open), Kurrundie Falls, Motor Car Falls and Boulder Creek. All great swimming spots in the Yurmikmik area. Also, explore Moline Rockhole (Ikoymarrwa)- a beautiful small waterfall, which is little known and only a small number of tour operators are permitted to visit.

This is a Big Day Out! Approx 16km walking through some of the best country Kakadu has to offer. Back to our Safari Camp for an authentic aussie BIG FEED.

Aboriginal GuideDay 3

First stop, Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre. The centre contains a wealth of information about Aboriginal Culture in Kakadu.

Continuing north, we visit Nourlangie Rock to see some stunning examples of Aboriginal Rock Art. Your guide is on hand to explain the many symbols and the painting methods used to create these amazing works of art. On the way home we visit Mamukala Wetlands for a stunning display of birdlife.

We return you to your Darwin accommodation around 6 – 7pm.
